Our vision for Canada is to enhance and preserve the natural habitat of designated areas in/around our community.

Action

McAdam is home to many natural areas to be enjoyed by the citizens and tourists visiting our village. Over the years a walking trail has been created around the CPR Pond which is located directly behind the McAdam Railway Station which is a national historic site. My Environmental Science Class completed a project which included researching the birds native to our area, constructing 14 bird houses using the plans specific to the blue bird and finally, installing the houses throughout the walking trail. Community volunteers assisted with both the construction of the houses and placing them throughout the trail. It is our vision, to do our part to preserve the natural habitat for many years to come to be enjoyed by locals and visitors to our community.
