Our vision for Canada is to continue building a multicultural nation that is known for its celebration of diversity.
On November 10th, our team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum in Halifax. From the speakers and workshops, we learned about sustainability topics and skills such as leadership, sorting waste, organizing ideas and thoughts, and taking action to help solve our problems in our community. This made us interested in pursuing Action Projects about the recognition of diverse cultures, which is important to us because we must continue passing our cultures down and sharing them with our peers, so that they don’t end up dying. To address this, we could create events that are aimed at sharing cultures. First, we’ll need to talk to several people who practice specific cultures and we would like to learn more about different cultures and backgrounds. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have educated our school and community about different cultures. We hope that they will learn from us and that the school passes this knowledge on to later generations.
