Community EcoNight and Pollinator Garden Expansion
Vision
Our vision for Canada is… a greener, more sustainable future, with all community members actively acting as stewards for their environment.
Students expanded the existing Pollinator Garden at our school, and the students and staff hosted a planting workshop at our school’s first EcoNight, to promote gardening and greening in the community, outside of school.
Action
Our EcoClub, made of students, took on leadership roles in hosting and organizing our EcoNight.
Our garden expansion was done by a Grade 6 class, who landscaped the field to add 3 new flower beds, and planted a variety of shrubs and pollinators.
