École Guelph Lake’s Pollinator Garden

Vision

Our Action Team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum. We learned about sustainability topics and skills such as making worm composts, growing vegetables without soil, invasive/non-invasive species, which made us interested in pursuing an Action Project about the issues of water pollution and pollinators. This is important to us/our school/our community because pollinators are crucial for our health.

Action

To fix these issues, some actions we could take are planting gardens around the community, schools, and homes to keep pollinators healthy and safe. But first, we’ll need to talk to the principal and teachers and learn more about pollination. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have made a big difference in our school!
