Vision

Our vision for Canada is… to eliminate the use of single use plastic water bottles. So many plastic water bottles are wasted every day so I decided to eliminate the use of them in my house. It may be a small start but if everyone in Canada did this simple task we could eliminate thousands of lbs. of plastic from being wasted.

Action

I informed my family on what I was doing and made sure everyone in my family had a reusable water bottle. I made a poster on the fridge to remind my family not to use plastic water bottles. To start we each filled up our reusable water bottles at various fountains at places such as school, sports, work, etc. After this our plan was to invest in a water cooler, but we moved in the process of eliminating plastic water bottles and are now drinking water from the tap.

Reflection & Celebration

We have successfully eliminated the use of plastic water bottles in my house. We are now saving a lot of money and to ensure this continues we have decided to not buy plastic water bottles at all anymore so we don’t have the temptation to drink them.
