Vision

Our vision for Canada is community gardens supplying food for schools cafeterias.

Action

On October 13, 2016 our action team participated in LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum in Orillia where we attended workshops and learned about community gardens, seed libraries, creative entrepreneurship, making a difference, and more!

We are going to explore action projects about connecting community gardens and our school. We are going to reach out to our school’s environment club, ask our teachers and principal for support, and involve our wider school and local community. We will research costs of supplies and try to involve science classes at our school. Then we can plant and harvest a garden! We will know we have succeeded when produce is being successfully grown and used in our school’s cafeteria.
