Vision

Our vision for Canada is… a country where all have access to recycling services. For our small, rural school, all recycling of cans and bottles is done by our students and staff. We do not, however, have access to paper recycling services. As we are a small community, deep in the heart of the New Brunswick wilderness, we live lives closely connected to the natural environment that surrounds us. We want to protect this natural beauty.

Action

To improve our recycling services, leaders within our school have used our grant to build partnerships with our local bottle depot. They have outlined a mutually beneficial plan to have all our paper waste collected by our staff and students, and picked up for proper recycling. The school is helping to explore avenues on how we could keep this going once it begins.
