Vision

We are hoping to have an edible food forest created within the next 10 years. The forest will provide food for us at the school and in the community. It will be self-sustaining and turn unused grass into a bountiful forest.

Action

We have taken a plain grassy hill and converted it with a series of swales that trap water and force it into the hill. Into the swales we have planted trees, bushes and shrubs that perform a variety of things for us – grow food, fertilization, nitrogen capture, soil stabilization, provide insect habitat, wildlife habitat etc.
