Vision

Our school has now completed a courtyard renovation project that involved turning rock space into green space, building an outdoor classroom, planting new gardens including a butterfly garden, and vegetable gardens. We have been donating our vegetables to our local soup kitchen. The issue we need help with is watering our gardens in a sustainable eco-friendly fashion. We would like to continue to donate food to our community but the watering is a problem, especially in the summer months.

Action

Students created a solar panel powered pump system that waters the plants growing from seed in the greenhouse. They plan to construct this for local business to water their flower gardens next year.
