Vision

Our vision for Canada is… to have healthy plants that can provide food for those who can’t afford it. Also to eliminate rude comments towards those with less money.

Action

On October 25th our action team participated in the EcoLeague Youth Forum in Milton where we attended workshops and learned how we can help the environment and the changes we need to make. We also learned about native plants/animals. We are going to explore projects about how we can make a food garden *to eliminate unhealthy eating and provide access), seed bombs, fruits and veggies, no mow zones, worm displays, setting a fundraiser, rain collectors and having compost in each classroom! We still need to learn about how to properly take care of worms and gardens, how to identify native and invasive plants, how to build a plant box and how to know which plants are edible. We are going to ask for support from our teachers, fundraisers and parent volunteers! Stay tuned for updates on our project!
