Bus-Loop Forest
Vision
The Bus-Loop Forest project is really important and will have a significant positive impact on our environment. By planting trees near our school on the bus stop, we can create a beautiful green space that not only increases the aesthetics of the area but also contributes to the purification of the air. These trees will act as natural filters, absorbing harmful pollutants and releasing clean oxygen, making the air fresher and healthier for everyone in the surrounding area.
Also, the presence of trees will improve the overall soil quality, promoting better water absorption and nutrient retention. This will not only benefit the trees themselves but also support the growth of other plants and vegetation in the area, creating a thriving ecosystem. And let’s not forget that our school is close to the lake! By increasing biodiversity through the Bus-Loop Forest project, we can attract a variety of wildlife, including birds, insects, making our surroundings even more vibrant and diverse. This project is a fantastic way to contribute to the well-being of our environment and create a positive impact that will be felt for years to come!
Action
We will shop for trees and plant them in either the spring or fall, depending on their planting season. We would like to start planting this spring (2024) and continue planting more trees in the upcoming years. We would like to source our trees from local businesses, and we hope that all people in the community can enjoy the new greenspace.
