Buying into Green

We all like new things, but what happens to the old? As exciting as it is to rip open the packaging of the latest product, we need to consider the planned obsolescence of the market and what the implications are on the environment. That includes packaging, usage, life cycle and final destination of today’s products. It is not always the first thing one thinks of, but definitely should not be ignored.

It is our duty as a consumer to take care of the environment. That does not mean we should not buy the latest phone or get a new car, but to properly dispose of the old product, new packaging, and think about the impacts. Bringing this to the attention of consumers, reposting online forums, research, and even word of mouth has the ability to make a huge impact.
