Vision

The three students who attended the LSF conference in December were keen to support the climate action work already going on at our school.

Action

They decided to purchase an outdoor composter to help the Club Vert-ennes in their efforts to re-launch the composting program at the school. They also purchased some garbage pickers so that students could continue cleaning up the neighbourhood but reduce the amount of garbage that this produces (no need for disposable gloves anymore!) and finally they purchased some seed packets so that they could start seeds in the spring and transplant them to the École Varennes community garden.

Reflection & Celebration

Students identified the local needs of our schools and brainstormed how the $200 they received from LSF could be used in a way that would leave a legacy. They also selected the items to be purchased.
