To plant trees throughout Huron and Perth County.

Action

We partnered with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority to subsidize trees purchased through their spring tree order. These trees can only be used for afforestation, windbreaks, or other stewardship efforts and not landscaping.

Reflection & Celebration

The tree sponsorship subsidy (money used from this grant as well as our own fundraising efforts) has helped fund the planting of over 2000 tree seedlings (2080 to be exact) ordered by farm and rural landowners in Huron – Perth.

Remaining funds will be used toward the cost of planting 8000 trees to restore 15 acres of forest at ABCA Triebner Tract near Hay Swamp, northwest of Exeter.
