Vision

To plant native trees on our property to improve connections with nature and to increase the number of native species in our area. We are in the Carolinian forest area, although there are very few trees left in our area of the native species.

Action

We have purchased and planted a tulip tree, sassafrass and eastern red bud on our property as an anchor for our planned outdoor classroom.

Reflection & Celebration

the school community has been informed of the planting and the importance of native trees, as well as an in-school media blitz about native trees and protecting the trees on our yard.
