Vision

To enhance the school’s dedicated area to Father Fogarty with a renewed focus on sustainability and stewardship.

Action

The school board’s Special Education Horticulture class weeded, trimmed and edged the area of all the overgrowth from a lack of maintenance. Then, students planted native plants (Amsonia Blue Star) to fill in some of the gardens. The gardens were completed with mulch and now opened for student and individual classes to use.

Reflection & Celebration

The project was a wonderful success and enhancement to our school community. Students completely restored the area and there is a renewed energy to utilize the space to its best advantages.
