Vision

Our main vision is to make the streets cleaner and reduce the problems of flooding by educating people (mainly the younger generation) about its effects and what you can do to help.

Action

We began with a poster with a QR code leading to a survey which we used to collect data. We also made a scratch game for people to play. After those, we went on a group cleanup along the river to attempt to make it cleaner. We found lots and lots of plastics and other discarded pieces of litter laying on the ground. We then created a presentation to show to a 6th grade class to educate them about the effects of flooding and how they can help.

Reflection & Celebration

In conclusion, we educated people about flooding and how to help stop it and we feel we reached a good amount of people and hope to see much cleaner streets in the future
Celebration:. We will have a Film Festival at our school between May 28th- May 30th in which classes from grades six through eight can sign up and bring a class to watch our Water Docs videos that we created. We will have a few students who were involved in Water Docs there to facilitate the showing of the videos. We will have a feedback form for them to fill out afterwards and there will be time for our student leaders to answer any questions from the classes.
