Action

Communities in the Dehcho region (and now also further down the Mackenzie river) were impacted by major floods this spring. We see these unusual floods as being linked to climate change. Many families lost everything and do not have insurance or the financial means to repair their homes themselves. The high school students organized a bake sale fundraiser to support these families in getting back on their feet.

Reflection & Celebration

The fundraiser was a great success! Around 80 people came out to purchase baked goods and everyone was supportive of the cause.
