Having a garden for Zero Hunger, partnering with Manitoba Harvest

Action

We had Michael Redhead Champagne visit our school to read his book, ‘We Need Everyone’. Our environment club met to determine our gifts and then how to use them. We picked gardening and thought of Global Goal number 2, Zero Hunger. In the winter, we had families share food and donations for Harvest Manitoba. Over the spring, we were thrilled to have Mr. Pharand and his shops class build us garden boxes so we can partner with Harvest Manitoba for their program ‘Grow a Row’. We will be planting the vegetables they suggest, and will harvest them to share with those who need them.
