Vision

Our vision for Canada is… to help young people learn about food production, soil conservation and sustainable practices.

Action

Food sourcing and gardens are able to help those in need. Likewise it helps students learn about gardens and food production. Different classes helped prepare and plant the gardens with an understanding that much of the produce will be donated to those in need as well as help educate people in the community about healthy eating habits. Seeds were started in the classroom, students prepared the gardens and finally all was planted.

Reflection & Celebration

The students were responsible for planting close to 5000sq. ft of gardens. Much of the produce will be donated and used to feed those less advantaged and to help educate people in the community about healthy eating habits. The wild garden introduces students and the community to medicinal properties of plants and different belief practices in the world religions. The garden is 100% organic.
