Our vision is to introduce students to a variety of ways to grow their own food, and create a healthy lifestyle and sustainable future.
By learning about hydroponics, the students will learn that there are different ways to grow their own food and create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for them and their families. The students purchased a hydroponic kit for their classroom and set it up with the help of a local expert who taught them about the benefits of growing a hydroponic garden. They also will be planting seeds that will be transplanted outside to compare the results of traditional growing and growing with hydroponics. They will be planting strawberries soon, but the first crop in the hydroponic garden is lettuce due to the fact that it grows quickly and students can see the results in a shorter time. When the lettuce is harvested, they will plant their strawberry crop.
