Revitalizing our flower bed with indigenous plants.

Action

The students and our learning support teacher cleared the existing flower beds of weeds, tilled the soil and buffed up the surface. We added new soil and then plotted out a plan of indigenous plants. We investigated the types of indigenous plants that would be suitable for our space and purchased them. Then as a team we mapped out the plants and created our garden.

Reflection & Celebration

The students have taken immense pride in the garden and the school is happy with the result. We have also taken the opportunity to teach students about indigenous plants while beautifying the school grounds.
