Vision

We aimed to raise awareness about the issue of textile waste caused by the fast fashion industry and to develop an action plan to address this problem.

Action

We learned about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 12, which focuses on responsible consumption and production. We discovered how the fashion industry significantly impacts the environment, consuming vast resources, causing water pollution, and generating substantial waste. We then launched a campaign to raise awareness about this problem within the school community. To help address the issue, we explored alternative materials. Additionally, we collected second-hand clothes that people were discarding and either upcycled, reused, or repaired them. We also use our new bioplastique or scoby leath in our creation.

Reflection & Celebration

We then organized an exhibit to showcase all our creations to the community and to various classes at school. Additionally, we created a documentary to highlight our efforts and actions.
