Keeping Communities Clean!
Our vision for Canada is to have a population that is educated on the harmful effects of global warming. As a country, we need to be passionate about avoiding unnecessary damage to our environment so that future generations are able to enjoy it.
Our team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum in Halifax in November. From the speakers and workshops, we learned about sustainability topics and skills such as why environmental sustainability is important for a bright future, which made us interested in pursuing Action Projects about the issue of global warming. This issue is important to us because it will affect our children and later generations. To fix these issues, some actions we could take are recycling diligently and carpooling and/or biking in place of driving. First, we’ll need to talk to the municipal government to collaborate and initiatives we can take to urge people to care more about climate change. We’ll also need to learn more about the logistics of climate change. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have spread awareness to others about global warming and climate change.
