Vision

The Radisson School Difference Makers in Grade 3 wanted to make a positive difference in our community by spreading kindness. Their motto is “Something small can turn into a big thing and change the world!”

Action

The Grade 3s created over 100 beautiful cards with their original artwork, and kind and uplifting messages inside. These messages were written from the heart and included things like “You are amazing!”, “The world is special because you’re in it!”, “Have a great day!”, “Thank you for being who you are!”, “You matter!”, and many more. Then they took the cards and went on a community walk where they delivered each card to a different house in the community. They placed the cards in people’s mailboxes in an effort to put a smile on the faces our our community members… and it worked!

Reflection & Celebration

Since they delivered their kind messages, the phone in our school office has been ringing off the hook! Many community members have phoned or emailed the school to tell the Difference Makers how much the appreciated the cards. One long time community member, who saw our school being built, shared how the card warmed his heart because his own children attended Radisson, and his wife had recently passed away. The card made him think about the happy memories he had with his family during their Radisson School days. The Radisson School Difference Makers learned that small things can make a big difference. We are on a mission to change the world!
