Vision

Our goal is to keep trash out of landfills and waterways. Cleaning up along the Welland River and the Welland Recreational Canal achieves both goals!

Action

On Earth Day, 2016, approximately 60 grade 6, 7 and 8 students picked up trash on Merritt Island. We were sure to separate out our recyclables as we went! As an extra bonus, we were able to help the City of Welland plant eight new native trees on the island, as many large ash trees had recently been cut down.
