Mono Amaranth’s Reconnecting to Nature
Vision
Our Action Team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum. We learned about sustainability topics and skills such as preserving monarch butterflies, reconnecting with nature, composting, water, and preserving bees, which made us interested in pursuing an Action Project about the issues of waste reduction and saving the pollinators. This is important to us because we need to start making efforts right away!
Action
To fix these issues, some actions we could take are waste audits, making a pollinator garden at school, and reconnecting our school with nature. But first, we’ll need to talk to the rest of our eco club and our school to learn more about the issues we care about. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will do our part to save bees and reconnect our school with nature!
