Munns Public School’s Bee Habitat Project

Vision

Our Action Team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum. We learned about sustainability topics and skills such as the importance of compost, recycling, how bees benefit us as humans, invasive species, overfishing, and what we can do to help future generations. This made us interested in pursuing an Action Project because to help protect our Earth. People need to know what sustainability is and how it affects the next area. Every little action counts, which means one person can change something – it might be small, but it’s still important.

Action

To fix these issues, some actions we could take are creating bee habitats, a garden for monarch butterflies, and to spread awareness overall. But first, we’ll need to talk to our teacher, principals, and peers from our school and learn more about what we can do to save our environment and learn on how to spread awareness. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have made a difference in our community!
