Vision

We want to improve our school gardens by adding native species in order to provide shelter and food for local insect and bird populations. We also plan to create a teaching garden where classes can visit and learn about insects and plants on a regular basis.

Action

We researched which native plants would provide habitat and food for local insect and bird populations. We purchased the plants then removed some existing invasive plants before planting the new plants. We added mulch, weeded and watered. We are continuing to maintain the gardens and plan to add more plants and other features next year.
