“Vision

Our vision for Canada is to stop the use of plastic water bottles in order to save our environment! This is important to us because all change has to start somewhere, so why not with our school community? We can help to spread the message to our peers, who can in turn continue to communicate it to the people they know beyond our school network. Realizing the power of communication is an important piece in building a Canada that is more environmentally-friendly.

Action

Based on attending the EcoLeague Youth Forum on October 26, 2017, we learned about sustainability topics and skills such as water sustainability and invasive species. To fix the issues surrounding these topics, some actions we could take are encouraging the use of reusable water bottles and talking to our principal and eco leaders about what more we can be doing to make our school eco-friendly and maintain our platinum school achievement. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have installed more water bottle refill stations all throughout our school.
