Vision

We wish to gain a greater influence within the decision processes of the provincial government with regard to education. Under the current system we have no say in government decisions that affect our education and ultimately our future. We deserve a say in our future.

Action

At EdStake, our primary goal is to achieve greater accountability from the provincial government of Alberta in respect to high school education. We demand that students obtain an active role in the decision-making processes that directly affect us, our learning experience, and ultimately our future. We are currently developing a student representative base from schools all across Alberta, allowing us to take a professional, unified and effective approach to the issue. Through various communications and awareness strategies, we hope to achieve our goal while at the same time alleviating student apathy. Our current action includes the Declaration of Student Rights and Responsibilities, outreach to political parties and the hosting of awareness conferences.
