Vision

We sought to reduce the phantom power drained by chromebooks and desktops. We planned to purchase timers to regulate when the chromebook bins and desktops would actually draw power for charging.

Action

We purchased 57 timers in total to attach to our chromebook/iPad bins as well as our desktops. We installed the timers throughout the school to ensure that power was only drawn during off-peak times and for the minimum time necessary for optimal functionality of our electronics.

Reflection & Celebration

During the part of the year that we were at school, the electricity usage was significantly reduced.
