Vision

To create some garden boxes in our school yard to attract butterflies and bees. Also gives our classes some spaces for learning more about gardening and the environment.

Action

We built two garden boxes. Students designed and sourced out the materials needed to build the boxes. The garden club students researched and choose the plants they wanted to plant in the gardens looking for the best pollinators. Garden club students maintain and water the plants as needed.

Reflection & Celebration

This was a great project as it brought the students together and really started them thinking about environment and climate change. We had a planting celebration and your younger students looked at what was planted.
