Promoting Animal Habitat Protection!

Our vision for Canada is to have a population that does what it can to save and protect animal habitats. This is important to us/our school community because animals cannot speak for themselves, so we as humans should be conscious of their needs and respectful of their habitats. After all, we share Canada with all the wonderful wildlife that lives here.

Based on attending the EcoLeague Youth Forum on October 26, 2017, we learned about sustainability topics and skills such as plastic water bottle usage, landfill overflow, and harm caused to animal habitats. To fix these issues, some actions we could take are putting up signs about recycling, making posters about sustainability issues, and teaching our younger peers about how we can solve some of these problems. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will be a very eco-friendly school and spread the word to our community about recycling.
