Vision

Our vision for the Learning for a Sustainable Future project grant was to minimize the production of single-use plastic waste generated at our school. Our project is centered on promoting the use of sustainable alternatives to wasteful plastic items and encouraging the consumption of healthy beverages to students.

Action

We achieved this by purchasing reusable and eco-friendly cups, and starting a free organic smoothie program available for students and faculty at our school. We plan to continue this smoothie program by reusing the cups for future smoothie days. In addition, the cups are available to students who can refill them at our school’s water fountains, as a substitute for offering disposable cups.
