Vision

Our vision for Canada is to increase participation in recycling and re-use programs nationwide.

Action

Our team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum in Guelph in December. From the speakers and workshops, we learned about various sustainability topics and skills, as well as how to contribute to sustainability initiatives even if you are shy or introverted. Learning about these things made us interested in pursuing Action Projects related to recycling and reusable water bottles. These things are important to us because we dislike seeing empty water bottles littered on school grounds. To fix these issues, we could raise awareness about the school’s recycling program. To get started, first we’ll need to talk to teachers and administrative staff to learn more about how to improve our recycling program. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will have implemented a strong recycling program in our school!
