Vision

We hope to reduce our waste entering the landfill by using reusable containers, composting and recycling. To help pollinate our food sources, we want to help the bees with our pollinator garden created in our No Mow Zone in the school yard.

Action

Every student in our school received a reusable, washable ziplock bag to use in their lunches, reducing the use of single-use plastic disposable ziplock bags. Students also created a flower garden, sowing pollinator flowers in our school yard to provide flowers for the bees.

Reflection & Celebration

To help encourage students to use their new reusable bags, we do random checks at lunch hour and reward those who are using the bags with a little treat. Parents have asked where we purchased the bags because they like them and want different sizes.
