Riverside Water Bottle Campaign

Students wanted to reduce the number of plastic water bottles and joice boxes found in our school’s recycling bins, by running a campaign to sell Riverside branded water bottles and encourage students to use their own reusable water bottles.

Students did a walkabout before the campaign ran, as well as after to determine the campaign’s increase in reusable water bottle use at the school. A note was sent home to all students about the sale of Riverside branded water bottles and it explained the purpose of the campaign. The Eco Club created a water themed bulletin board, an information stand was created for the school’s Winter Concert to provide detail to parents and the community and students sold water bottles at the concert. The Eco Club sent out Tweets, Announcements, Posters, and provided messaging at whole school assemblies
