Vision

Our School of Rock team researched environmental issues and produced a song to raise money in order to incorporate an outdoor classroom at our school. This would provide many unique opportunities for inquiry-based learning and would help students understand their responsibilities as stewards of the earth.

Action

The students knew that they could make a difference within our community. They wanted to send a clear message about their role in caring for and protecting the earth. They started watching videos online about environmental issues and wrote down information that was important to them. They used these ideas to create the song, “Save The Earth”. The song is available for download on the school website – fundraising for the outdoor classroom is ongoing
