Vision

We are starting to grow food here at Riverwood Academy, to help fuel our school lunch program and promote community involvement.

Action

We are growing food indoors during the cold months. Students have built greenhouses and raised beds and they tend to the food in these gardens.

Reflection & Celebration

We are at the very start of our program but we have drummed up some great interest within the school community. Students are actively growing and tending food within the school and have already down one mini harvest of lettuce and beans. Students have build raised beds for the school that are currently growing food. In the coming months, students will build 1 greenhouse and several raised beds for outdoors.
