School Gardens
Vision
For our students to experience the carbon cycle by composting remnants of their lunches, adding that soil to our school gardens, then planting, caring for and harvesting their own food for our Fall Harvest Feast and Local Lunches.
Action
Raised beds built of local cedar logs were planted spring of 2015 with seedlings started in Earth Week. Vermicomposters ran in classrooms since September 2014 generating rich soil for our gardens.
