Vision

Creating a school ground full of vegetation has almost infinite benefits for a child’s development. Beyond conservation efforts and aesthetics a school ground with more vegetation has been proven to protect children against cancer causing UV rays, decrease bullying activities and increase brain stimulation and wonderment of the world around them.

Action

Through the Grand Erie District School Board a school ground greening program was created as a guideline for schools to implement their own school ground greening plan. This guideline includes proper implementation techniques, funding and benefits of the program
