School Thrift Shop

Vision

To curb the effects of fast fashion and produce less waste by buying less.

Action

In response to our toxic fashion industry, students promoted thrifting in the school. They encouraged students to trade their clothing to curb the effects of fast fashion. The concept is simple: trade an old sweater for a new one. This process allows for the project to be sustainable, and promotes stewardship!

Reflection & Celebration

While we got started on the project later than we expected, we’ve seen great success in the short time we’ve been operating. The goal for the future is to offer an opportunity at lunch for students to “shop”.
