Sowing the seeds to a better mental health
Vision
This year we continued to embark on our planting journey.
We have been growing food in our classroom hydroponically and in greenhouses this year. We also have sold the food plants to staff and students all year. We also have learned more about hydroponic growing as a result and what works and what doesn’t!
We even hosted a sustainability day with a chat with a local professor who owns a restaurant with a mission for sustainability – reusing tables, forks, getting food from local farmers. We also celebrated world book day with a visit to a used book store to drive home the importance of sustainability.
We have learned more about taking city transit and routes this year.
It’s been a year of learning about sustainability and growing.

Reflection & Celebration
We have a lot to celebrate for a class of only 9 students.
We have learned a lot about sustainability and the importance of reusing, reducing and recycling.
These students are huge proponents of – one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
