Stormwater Runoff: The Hidden Water Crisis
Vision
Water connects us all…so why aren’t we protecting it? In this documentary, we dive into watersheds and stormwater runoff, uncovering how human actions shape the health of our waterways and, in turn, our communities. Through research, activism, and the guidance of Indigenous Perspectives, we share our multi-step plan to spark change in our school and beyond. Our journey isn’t just about studying water: it’s about standing up, using our voices, and becoming true water activists.
Action
Students have a multistep action plan
– learn about water runoffs
– clean up our local park
– educate our school with daily slides/school annoucements
– reconciliation (inviting Elders to our school)
– community outreach (posters around school/presentations at assembly)
– awareness stall (at school events will educate and promote)
– open mic cafe (at local library meeting)
– open mic cafe (at Fred C Cook)
– communicate with the city of bradford for drains needs to protect water
Reflection & Celebration
