Vision

-We are a class of 24 students in an Environmental Block class. In addition to starting a community garden, our class manages our school’s recycling and composting program and plants trees on our property. More program info at http://www.tdchristian.ca/classes/eblock/
-These gardens are taken care of by grade 10 and 12 students they are also supervised by our teacher Mr. Ben Freeman
-Our goal is to keep these gardens going to supply the school for many more years to come

Action

– We are taking action of the garden by watering, planting, weeding and maintaining it. I myself am part of the group that checks the garden and does maintenance to it every Tuesday and Friday
-We also harvest it and wash everything to deliver to Vaughan Food Bank, our school’s cafeteria and Hospice Vaughan
-We have 7 garden beds that we grow, plant and harvest herbs such as chives, garlic, mint leaves, onion, rosemary, dill, oregano and sage
