To improve the pollinator population in rural Manitoba through the use of Native plants

Action

To plant Native Manitoba plants in two gardens in local Municipalities where students reside.

Reflection & Celebration

The gardens are intended to be eye pleasing attractions that will be visible to communty members along with visitors to the area’s attractions. The in kind contributions from families and the student volunteers assured completion. The information gained through the LSF opportunities provided inspiration for students and the funding supported its potential. The partnerships created within the communities should also support more cooperation and appreciation for the youth efforts and their commitment to making a difference in their surroundings.
