Vision

The Gibson Room in the library of Bishop’s University is a room full of educational resources for student teachers. Looking at it and thinking about the shift of the library in the future into a learning commons, I thought it would be interesting to have the School of Education lead the way on this.

Action

Entitled the Digital Gibson Room, I’ll be working with the library’s staff along with my professors at Bishop’s to create an online space for resources for education students at Bishop’s. My contribution will primarily be within the scope of Education For Sustainable Development, and making it as accessible as possible to my colleagues will be my main objective. It will allow the school to lead the way not only into using digital resources that will reduce our acquisition of paper copies of everything, but also link to the university’s sustainability goals.
