Vision

It is the goal of our students to reclaim a damaged water ecosystem for the sustainability of life around it.

Action

With the help of our school PAC and teachers, our grades 2 and 3 students purchased and planted trees around a pond that has seen major trampling, harvesting and destruction of vegetation. The students placed wire cages around these trees to give added stability and keep livestock away. We hope to reclaim the ecosystem so native vegetation and wildlife can thrive again.

Reflection & Celebration

The students loved this project and are excited to monitor the trees! This pond is close to the school so frequent check ins and measuring of progress is possible. We are excited to have a project that we can follow for several years.
