Vision

Our plan had been to build a community garden in our school grounds but a fire in our school this year meant that vision could not be realized. Instead, we used the funding from LSF-LST to build a bridge between our students and the students of our host school where we will be located until the repairs to our building have been done.

Action

We chose native plants to our region and plants that have special meaning in the Indigenous community. When we are ready to harvest in the autumn we are going to have an elder come and speak to our students about the plants and how they are used.

Reflection & Celebration

We will be holding a Stone Soup celebration in the autumn and we will be using our veggies we have grown to make a soup for the entire school community to share.
